Tutorial Transcript

The various areas of the 360 degree safe framework are broken down into three levels: Elements, Strands and Aspects. Each Element has a number of Strands underneath it, and each Strand has a number of aspects underneath it.

Breaking the framework down in this way makes it easier for you to tackle the framework in manageable chunks, and also makes it simpler for you to delegate areas of assessment to other colleagues.

At the topmost Element level, areas of the framework are broadly categorised as Policy & Leadership, Infrastructure, Education or Standards & Inspection. The 'E' icon signifies that you're looking at an Element.

If you want to find out more about an Element, click on the information icon to the left of its title.
Underneath each Element, you'll find a number of sub-categories, called Strands. The 'S' icon signifies that you're looking at a Strand.

If you want to find out more about a Strand, click on the information icon to the left of its title.
Underneath each Strand, you'll find the criteria against which you'll rate your internet safety provision. These are called Aspects. The 'A' icon signifies that you're looking at an Aspect.
